Summary of Our Services

Comprehensive-Electrical-Solutions

1. How our services help EC

We offer an extensive range of electrical products and components, ensuring contractors have immediate access to what they need, when they need it. Our wide supplier network minimizes lead times and prevents costly project delays caused by out-of-stock items. From everyday essentials to specialized equipment, our platform connects contractors with trusted brands and verified suppliers — helping them complete jobs faster, reduce procurement stress, and keep projects running seamlessly.

2. Expansive Product Availability

Sourcing from both domestic and offshore manufacturers, we identify the best source for a given product group that encompasses over 3,000 individual items. Frankly speaking, many of the companies you likely do business with contact us to fill orders for items they do not ordinarily stock and which their traditional supply chain partners have backordered.

3. Private Labeling

If you are one of the more than 700 independent electrical wholesaler distributors in the U.S. then you know that you cannot purchase materials from the likes of Eaton, ABB, nVent and other companies like them at the same levels as Sonepar, Wesco, Graybar, etc. Its no mystery why these publicly-traded companies have been on a mission to gobble up independent distributors for the last 20 years – they seek to eliminate competition while simultaneously enhancing their buying power and demanding larger rebates.  And simultaneously, there has been a consolidation on the manufacturing side of things, e.g., Cooper acquired Crouse-Hinds, and then Eaton acquired Cooper – less competition means higher prices.

You can beat them at their own game by purchasing products directly from our manufacturing partners. Just as Costco has the Kirkland brand, and Home Deport has their Commercial Electric brand, your company can have its own brand too – buying the same UL Listed products at significant savings. If you are not enjoying at least a 60% margin on day-today commodity products such as fittings, LB’s, spring fasteners, hangers, strut fittings, etc. then your company is either leaving money on the table or losing orders to another company that undercuts your price.

Factory Direct Electrical Products will provide you with a turn-key solution that requires very little effort on your part but that will yield margins you would not think possible. And obviously, if your costs are lower then you can sell for less which will increase your market share, and with more market share your company will have more opportunities to sell distribution equipment, lighting and other large systems.

Whether your company has one branch, or 200, you can sell product with your company name and logo on the packaging – product that you might be surprised is often made in the same factories, and using the same tooling, as product you are buying today from companies that are household names in the electrical industry.

4. Minimum Order Size

For products warehoused at our national distribution center in Oklahoma City, the minimum order size is a case quantity that varies depending on the product type. However, orders are subject to a minimum dollar amount to be eligible for free shipping.

Private labeled purchases that are direct shipped from our manufacturing partners require either a minimum order of 20,000 lbs. or that will fill ½ of a container; minimum order quantities of individual products may be required.

5. Logistics and Import

In a word, your company does not need to do anything except place an order. We take care of everything else. This includes:

  • Private labeling design includes your company’s information, color scheme, logo and bar coding per your company’s specifications.
  • All transportation from country of origin to your designated warehouse location.
  • We will ensure materials are properly classified to minimize taxes, tariffs and fees.
  • Door-to-Door Insurance*
  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) bond.
    * Typical insurance costs are .05% of the total invoiced value of the goods and does not include taxes, tariffs and fees in case of covered loss; we provide supplemental insurance that includes all costs associated with the shipment, door-to-door.

6. Terms

All offshore manufacturers require a 30% deposit when the order is placed. This deposit covers the manufacturer’s raw material costs.

Due to our long-standing relationships, and the mutual trust we have earned with the manufacturers, your company will only need to pay a 15% deposit in advance.

The balance of all orders is due when the containers are picked up from the manufacturer’s facility by our logistics partners (legal title of the goods transfers  to your company once picked up).

7. Product Quality

We do not do business with manufacturers we do not know and trust. The unit costs we may pay for a given item may be a few percentage points higher, but that is because our focus is first on quality, then price.

Our principles make frequent in-person visits to manufacturers’ facilities to reinforce relationships and communicate expectations. Manufacturers that do not adhere to our standards of quality and timely deliveries are removed as a sourcing option.

ALL goods are either UL or ETL Listed to ensure consistent quality and adherence to applicable UL Certification Standards. It is important to recognize that a great deal of goods imported into the U.S. do not include valid UL or ETL certifications; we make every effort to validate that manufacturers have the lawful right to apply the UL or ETL Mark on their products.

Lastly, in the unlikely event that defective goods are delivered to your warehouse, FDEP will guarantee replacement at no cost to your organization including freight and other related costs; no one at your company will have to deal with freight companies, adjusters, or the manufacturer’s agents and you will not need to complete any claim forms or other paperwork.
